Before joining the Commission, Severine worked as a deputy diplomatic advisor to the Minister of Interior of France where she worked on issues related to migration and fighting terrorism.

She also assisted the Minister with the negotiations on EU legislations with other Member States and European Institutions.

Severine holds a Master’s degree in Diplomatic and International Relations of the European Union from the College of Europe, in addition to a degree in European public policy and affairs, as well as English and American studies.
